Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall 2020 What began as a personal exercise to reconnect with drawing and experiment with mark-making techniques transformed into a ritualistic exploration of the mundane. During the Covid-19 lockdown, as cases surged and daily routines became confined, I found myself repeatedly drawn to the same window and its unchanging view. Capturing this act of repetition, I began to draw what I saw. Inspired by Impressionism, I focused on the evolving colors throughout the day, influenced by factors such as seasonal changes, weather conditions, and the shifting position of the sun. Subtle adjustments in my gaze or the movement of my chair also introduced compositional variations. These drawings represent a selection of works from this series.
