Corpse Cut in Trzy 2006
Fulbright Foundation Project

The main concept for this print exchange was based on the Surrealist game, Exquisite Corpse, an art form that relied mainly on collaborative chance involving two or more artists. In this exchange, each participating artist created a figurative image consisting of a head, torso, and legs. After completing the image, the plates were cut horizontally into three parts; each artist kept the head for themselves while exchanging the torso and leg plates with two other participants. The final image consisted of a chance combination of different figurative forms. This project provided the opportunity for printmakers to collaborate with artists from two different countries, America and Poland.
